UW-Stout freshman Abbey Filipiak was a first team All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) pick and was also the league's newcomer of the year. In her first collegiate season, Filipiak finished fourth at the three-day WIAC Championship, scoring a collegiate-best 74 in the final round of the tournament to lead Stout to a third place team finish. Filipiak played in eight rounds in the pandemic-shortened season, leading the team with a stroke average of 80.0. Filipiak broke 80 in four rounds this season and took first place finishes in her first two collegiate meets. Filipiak was the WIAC/Kwik Trip Athlete of the Week after winning a quadrangular meet with UW-Eau Claire, UW-River Falls and UW-Superior.
