TRACK & FIELD CAMPS

ELITE WINTER SPEED TRAINING
Dates: Jan. 7, 14, 21, 28, Feb. 4, 11, 25
Time: 5:15 -6:30 pm
Ages:  Grades 9-12
Cost: $175 
 

The Elite Winter Speed Training program sponsored by UW-Stout Track & Field emphasizes individual growth with a welcoming and developmental approach. The program offers sprint specific workouts designed for the team sport or individual athlete who wants to develop proper acceleration, maximal speed, and overall fitness. 

In addition to training sessions, you will have exposure allowing you to compete at local USATF indoor track & field meets in preparation for the high school track & field season.

POLE VAULT SERIES
Dates: Jan. 7, 14, 21, 28, Feb. 4, 11, 18
Time: 3-5 p.m.
Ages: Girls & Boys, Grades 6-12
Cost: $50 online, then $30 per session (in person
First session will not require payment in person since paid the camp fee to particapate online

 

2024 Pole Vault Series sessions are a great opportunity for all pole vaulters no matter their experience level, from having never touched a pole vault pole to a State Champion.  
This will basically operate as a pole vault practice for each session. 

What to bring:  Bring workout clothes, training shoes and competition shoes, and a water bottle.  You may bring your own poles if you desire, otherwise we will provide poles for you to use.

HURDLE SERIES
Dates: Jan. 7, 14, 21, 28, Feb. 4, 11, 18
Time: 3-5 p.m.
Ages: Girls & Boys, Grades 9-12
Cost: $50 online, then $30 per session (in person)
First session will not require payment in person since paid the camp fee to participate online
 

The 2024 Hurdle Series is an opportunity for new and experienced hurdlers to develop their abilities and techniques during the off-season.  The series will serve as a training season, with the ability to work both the 100/110h as well as the 300h.  Sessions will be able to be tailored to each individual's experience and development and will incorporate work on speed and event-specific endurance in conjuntion with  hurdle technique.

What to bring:  For each session, you should bring workout clothes, training shoes, spikes, and water bottles.  We will have access to indoor facilities so there should not be any weather cancellations.

Directions 
The Recreation/Athletic Complex is located on the south edge of campus, west (left) of Broadway and south (right) of 13th Ave. Driving directions are listed below. Please observe city and university parking regulations. University parking does not allow parking in restricted lots without a permit during normal business hours. The large lot by the football field is enforced throughout the week, but public parking is allowed from 1 p.m. Fridays through late Sunday evenings.

From the East: Take Interstate 94 to State Highway 25 exit, go south (Menomonie exit) onto Broadway Ave. Continue south on Broadway through downtown Menomonie to 13th Ave. (Dairy Queen). The Rec Complex is to the east (left) of Broadway and south (right) of 13th Ave.

From the East: Take Interstate 94 to State Highway 12 and 29. Take the Elk Mound/Colfax exit, go west on Highways 12 and 29 into Menomonie. Follow highway to intersection of Main Street and Broadway Ave, turn left onto Broadway. Continue on Broadway south to 13th Avenue (Dairy Queen). The Rec Complex is to the east (left) of Broadway and south (right) of 13th Ave.

From the West: Take Interstate 94 to State Highway 25 exit, go south (Menomonie exit) onto Broadway Ave. Continue south on Broadway through downtown Menomonie. Turn left at 13th Avenue (opposite Dairy Queen), right into parking lot (Lot 4) or turn right into parking lot east of Johnson Fieldhouse (Lot 29).

From the North: Follow State Highway 25 south into Menomonie. Highway 25 will turn into Broadway Avenue. Continue south on Broadway through downtown Menomonie to 13th Avenue (Dairy Queen). The Rec Complex is to the east (left) of Broadway and south (right) of 13th Ave.

From the South: Follow State Highway 25 north into Menomonie. Highway 25 will turn into Broadway Avenue. Continue north on Broadway to13th Avenue (Dairy Queen). The Rec Complex is to the east (right) of Broadway and south (right) of 13th Ave.
