RIVER FALLS — Julia Imai won the individual title and led the University of Wisconsin-Stout Polytechnic women's golf team to a 19-stroke victory at the Falcon Invite.
Imai captured the individual title with a 2-over 146, closing the tournament with an even-par 72 in the second round. As a team, the Blue Devils shot a 614 (311-303), finishing at 38-over par and 19 strokes ahead of the field.
Brin Neumann finished second individually at 8-over 152 (78-74). Sarah Chaffee tied for sixth at 14-over 158 (82-76), while Ashleigh Johnson tied for eighth at 15-over 159 (78-81).
The Blue Devils' B team placed seventh with a 683 (353-333), improving by 20 strokes in the second round. Kaitlyn Bohl tied for 17th with a 165 (86-79), while Annika Bilau finished 31st with a 172 (89-83). Avery Meyer tied for 34th at 174 (87-87), and Layla Thompson tied for 40th at 176 (91-85). Ava Thompson and Peyton Zipperer tied for 45th at 179, with both shooting rounds of 93 and 86.
The Blue Devils will compete next at the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl, Sept. 14-15, at Troy Burne Golf Club in Hudson, Wis.
