HUDSON – The University of Wisconsin-Stout Polytechnic women's golf team posted a strong second-place finish at the Maverick Fall Brawl at Troy Burne Golf Club.
The Blue Devils carded a two-round team total of 625 strokes (319-306), finishing just three strokes behind tournament champion Concordia-St. Paul (622). Minnesota State took third at 631, followed by Wayne State (Neb.) in fourth at 637.
Ashleigh Johnson led the way for UW-Stout, tying for fourth place individually with a 152 (79-73).
Julia Imai finished tied for seventh at 155 (78-77).
Brin Neumann placed tied for 17th with a 160 (81-79), while
Karma Hasselberger tied for 19th at 161 (81-80).
Sarah Chaffee rounded out the Stout contingent in a tie for 34th at 165 (88-77).
The Blue Devils will next compete at the St. Kate's Fall Invite on Sept. 19-20 at Braemar Golf Course in Edina, Minnesota.
