WALLA WALLA, Wash. — The University of Wisconsin-Stout Polytechnic volleyball team swept Beloit College 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-7) on Saturday to finish the Whit Classic 2-1.
 
The Blue Devils hit .405 with 41 kills, while Beloit finished at .078 with 20 kills. Falon Hepola opened the first set with a service ace and assisted Sloan Horgan on the next point. After Beloit got on the board, Stout scored five straight — including an Addison Kessler kill, a Stephanie Petrbok ace, and another Horgan kill — to move in front 7-1. Stout pushed the lead back to 14-6 with contributions from Brooke McCune, Kyra Giffen and Hope Bushendorf. Beloit closed the gap to 15-10 and later 20-15, but kills by McCune and Horgan secured the set 25-17 for Stout.
 
In the second set, Beloit led 6-4 before UW-Stout responded with a seven-point run. The Blue Devils maintained control with key plays from Brynn Hessel, Hepola and Bushendorf, extending their lead to 20-10. A kill from Lauren Duenkel and another by Gabby Ehlers sealed the 25-14 win.
 
UW-Stout dominated the third set, opening with seven straight points on Lainey Todd's serve. The Blue Devils capitalized on Beloit errors and strong performances from Devyn Masloski and Bushendorf. Stout extended their lead to 24-6 before Bushendorf's final kill ended the set 25-7.
