Box Score 2 Menomonie, Wis. – The UW-Stout women's tennis team put together a strong showing in a triangular doubleheader, earning a 4-3 win over Wartburg College (18-9) and a 6-1 victory over Bethany Lutheran College.

The Blue Devils set the tone early by sweeping all three doubles matches to claim the doubles point and take a 1-0 lead.
At No. 1 doubles, the pairing of Ashlyn Dellemann and Molly Garber earned a decisive 6-2 win. Prajna Hosamane and Gretchen Murphy followed with a strong 7-5 victory at No. 2, while Lindsay Leuzinger and Lexie Stein completed the sweep with a 6-4 win at No. 3.
In singles play, Stout picked up three key victories to secure the team win. Garber was dominant at No. 1, not dropping a game in a 6-0, 6-0 victory. Murphy added a convincing 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 4.
The match came down to No. 6 singles, where Stein battled through a three-set match, bouncing back after dropping the second set to earn a 6-3, 1-6, 10-5 super tiebreak win to clinch the team victory.
The win marked an important milestone for the Blue Devils, surpassing last season's win total and matching the program's highest number of wins since 2021.

Stout once again grabbed early momentum in doubles, taking all three matches to claim the doubles point.
Garber and Dellemann rolled to a 6-1 win at No. 1, while Hosamane and Murphy followed with a 6-2 victory at No. 2. The No. 3 match was decided by default.
In singles, the Blue Devils secured five wins to close out the match. Garber remained nearly flawless at No. 1 with a 6-1, 6-0 victory, while Murphy continued her strong play with a 7-5, 6-0 win at No. 3.
Stein once again delivered in a key moment, earning a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 4 to clinch the match for Stout. Hosamane also battled in a three-set match at No. 2, pushing to a super tiebreak.
Notable Performances
Several Blue Devils turned in standout performances across the two matches. Molly Garber was nearly untouchable, dropping just one game in singles play across both matches. Gretchen Murphy remained perfect on the day with wins in both singles and doubles in each match. Lexie Stein proved clutch under pressure, clinching both team victories with hard-fought singles wins.
UW-Stout will be off next weekend for Easter before returning to the home courts for Senior Day on April 11, when the Blue Devils host Coe College and Central College.
