MENOMONIE, Wis. – The UW-Stout women's soccer team was unable to slow down a quick-striking St. Olaf offense, falling 5-0 on Wednesday afternoon at Nelson Field.
The Oles built a 4-0 lead in the first half with goals in the 6th, 11th, 25th, and 45th minutes before adding one more early in the second half. Stout goalkeeper Kaitlyn Krengel kept busy, making six saves on the day.
Calli Heinzerling registered the lone shot on goal for the Blue Devils, while the Stout defense battled throughout against a St. Olaf attack that put 11 shots on frame.
With the result, UW-Stout moves to 5-4-1 on the season, while St. Olaf improves to 7-1-1.
