ST. PAUL, Minn. – The UW-Stout men's soccer team battled hard but came up short in a 4-1 road loss to Hamline University on Wednesday afternoon at Paterson Field.
Hamline (8-1-1) opened the scoring in the 20th minute, but the Blue Devils responded later in the first half. Freshman Landen Arnstad found the back of the net in the 38th minute off an assist from Marwan Kaddah to level the match at 1-1.
The Pipers regained the lead early in the second half and added two more goals down the stretch to pull away. Stout finished with eight shots, six of them on frame, while goalkeeper Max Kutz recorded five saves in 90 minutes of action. Roberto Perez, Sevie Koss, Patrick Zich, and Gianluca Jones each registered shots on target for the Blue Devils.
With the result, UW-Stout moves to 1-7-2 overall, while Hamline improves to 8-1-1.
