MENOMONIE, Wis. – The UW-Stout men's soccer team earned its third clean sheet of the season, playing Buena Vista University to a 0-0 draw Wednesday evening at Nelson Field.
Freshman goalkeeper Eddie Puglisi turned in a standout performance, stopping all eight shots he faced to keep the Beavers off the scoreboard. Stout generated several quality looks of its own, finishing with 10 shots and three on target. Roberto Perez and Patrick Zich each recorded a shot on goal, while Sevie Koss added another.
Both teams had their moments in a physical, back-and-forth contest that featured four yellow cards. Buena Vista finished with 20 total shots, but Puglisi and the Blue Devil defense held firm to secure the clean sheet.
With the result, UW-Stout moves to 1-7-3 on the season, while Buena Vista sits at 5-4-1.
