MENOMONIE – The University of Wisconsin-Stout women's soccer team is gearing up for an exciting 2025 season, kicking off with a pair of home matches this weekend at Nelson Field. Under the guidance of new head coach
Marcos Rodriguez, the Blue Devils are poised to build on last season's challenges and aim for a spot in the WIAC Tournament.
Team Overview
Marcos Rodriguez, who successfully led the inaugural UW-Stout men's soccer team in 2024, steps into his first season as head coach of the women's program. After a tough 2024 season where the Blue Devils finished 0-14-2 and eighth in the WIAC, Rodriguez is optimistic about the team's potential. "Our goal is to make the WIAC Tournament," Rodriguez said. "We have the talent, experience, and determination to compete at a high level in the league."
The 2025 roster blends seasoned veterans with fresh talent, featuring 23 returning letterwinners, nine starters from last season, and nine newcomers. This combination of experience and energy sets the stage for a competitive season.
