Blue Devils Use Balanced Scoring to Top Bethany Lutheran on the Road

NORTH MANKATO, Minn. — UW-Stout put four players in double figures and used a dominant third quarter to power past Bethany Lutheran College, earning a 70–63 road win Wednesday night at the Sports and Fitness Center North Gym.

The game featured six ties and nine lead changes during a back-and-forth first half before the Blue Devils (5–2) broke things open after halftime. Trailing 27–25 late in the second quarter, Stout closed the half with a small burst and carried that momentum into the third, outscoring the Vikings 26–18 in the frame.

Grace Schisel led the offensive surge, hitting three 3-pointers and scoring 13 points, including eight in the third quarter alone. Eleice Dahl added an efficient 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting, while Maraya Wiltrout provided a huge lift off the bench with 11 points and six rebounds. Julia Rybacki rounded out the group of double-figure scorers with 10 points and six boards.

Stout's bench was the difference, outscoring Bethany Lutheran's reserves 36–23. The Blue Devils also dominated the glass, finishing with a 35–29 rebounding advantage and 13 second-chance points.

Bethany Lutheran (2–7) stayed within striking distance behind 16 points from Juliana Ewald and 15 from Morgan Hulke, but Stout answered each late push, including a key Dahl layup in the final minute to put the game out of reach.
