Menomonie, WI – This past weekend, UW-Stout played host for the Wisconsin Esports Conference (WEC) Fall Championship LAN! 18 teams from 12 schools traveled to UW-Stout to compete for a Championship in Rocket League and Valorant. Both Stout's Rocket League and Valorant teams qualified for the State Championship by winning their Regional Qualifier at UW-River Falls back in November.
Saturday – Group Stage
On Saturday, the teams were split into two groups where they would complete a short round robin to determine seeding for the WEC Championship Brackets on Sunday.
The Blue Devils Rocket League team was in Group A against Carthage College, UW-Milwaukee, UW-Whitewater and Carthage College Academy. Stout fell to UW-Milwaukee and Carthage College during this group stage earning the 3
rd spot going into the Championship Bracket for Sunday!

Sunday – Championship Bracket
Championship Sunday brackets have been set, and teams ready to fight for the top spot, and to call themselves State Champions!
Rocket League Bracket:
The Blue Devils Rocket League team would take on Carthage College JV to start their Championship Sunday run. Stout came out strong, only dropping one game in the best of 7 series to move onto the Semi-Finals against Carthage College Firebirds.
Carthage's main team has had Stout's number this season with a couple wins already under their belt. The Blue Devils fought strong, but ultimately could not come up with the win, finishing tied for 3
rd/4
th overall.
Valorant Bracket:
Sunday morning, the Blue Devils Valorant team faced off against rivals, Concordia Falcons. Map 1 went into double overtime with CUW coming out on top, 15-13 to take an early series lead! The Blue Devils bounced back in map 2, forcing a triple overtime win, 16-14. In the map 3 decider, it was the Blue Devils that surged forward behind senior
Noah Filtz to secure the victory over CUW, 13-10 to earn a spot in the Semi-Finals.
The Valorant squad would move forward to take on the #1 seed, UW-Madison Red. Madison showed their strength during the series beating the Blue Devils 0-2. This would earn Stout a tied 3
rd/4
th place overall.
