MENOMONIE, Wis. — UW-Stout women's basketball put together a historic night at Johnson Fieldhouse on Tuesday, setting program records for points scored, margin of victory, and scoring run in a 113–17 win over Maranatha Baptist University.
The Blue Devils (3–2) kept the energy high from start to finish, with 15 different players getting on the scoresheet. Brooklynn Birt led with 23 points on a perfect 9-for-9 shooting night, while Grace Schisel and Julia Rybacki added 12 apiece.
Stout's strong depth was on full display, as Molly Bills, Lucy Nichols, Emily Coonrod, Allison Wokatsch, and Molly Garber all contributed offensively as part of the balanced scoring effort. The Blue Devils dominated the paint, shared the ball with 33 team assists, and applied steady defensive pressure that forced 41 turnovers.
Stout went on a 35-0 run spanning from the end of the first quarter through the middle of the third quarter, setting a new program record.
