ST. PAUL, Minn. (November 12, 2025) — The UW-Stout men's basketball team came up short on the road Wednesday night, falling 82–76 to Macalester College at the Leonard Center.
Despite a strong start and a tied score at halftime (36–36), the Blue Devils were unable to slow down the Scots' second-half surge. Tyrel Creger led UW-Stout with 24 points, attacking the rim effectively and finishing 9-for-13 from the free-throw line. Domanyck Schwarzenberger added 17 points, including a pair of three-pointers, while Justin Nelson provided a spark off the bench with seven points and four rebounds.
Collin Vick pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds to go with five points, and Aidan Shore added seven rebounds and four assists.
For Macalester, Noah Shannon was nearly unstoppable, posting 35 points and 12 rebounds to lead the hosts.
The Blue Devils contended with the Scots on the boards (40–48) and in paint scoring (36–38), but Macalester's hot shooting from beyond the arc (45 percent) and a 46-point second half proved to be the difference.
