EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — The UW-Stout women's soccer team earned a 1–1 draw on the road Wednesday afternoon against UW–Eau Claire at Simpson Field.
After a scoreless first half, both teams found the back of the net late in the match. The Blugolds broke through in the 80th minute when Mikalyn Hidde converted from close range to give Eau Claire a 1–0 lead.
Just 79 seconds later, the Blue Devils answered as Anna Odisho delivered the equalizer in the 81st minute. The goal marked Odisho's fifth of the season, leading the team in scoring, and secured a hard-fought result for the Blue Devils.
Goalkeeper Kaitlyn Krengel anchored the back line with seven saves, including several key stops to keep Stout within striking distance. The Blue Devils tallied 13 shots (three on goal) while limiting Eau Claire to one goal on 21 attempts.
UW–Stout moves to 6–4–3 overall and 0–0–2 in WIAC play, while the Blugolds sit at 2–7–4 (1–0–1 WIAC).
