Menomonie, WI - UW-Stout Esports hosted their first ever collegiate invitational this past weekend. This 8 team Rocket League tournament was played in the brand new $1M Esports Arena!
The teams were split into two groups for the morning round robin, best of 3, and the results are as follows:

The Blue Devils went undefeated to earn the #1 seed out of their group!
After the break, all 8 teams were seeded into a modified 8 team playoff bracket.
UW-Stout took down Michigan State Spartans 3-1 in the playoff bracket first round to automatically advance to the Semi-Finals where they would await the winners of the lower side of the bracket.
The Blue Devils would face off against Milwaukee School of Engineering, this time in a best of 7 series. MSOE put up a stronger fight
against Stout in their 2
nd set of the day, but in the end, the Blue Devils were able to secure the victory 4-2 and found themselves in the Championship match!
On the other side of the bracket, Carthage Firebirds were on a rampage, only dropping a few games on their way to the Championship match, taking down Minnesota Gophers, MSOE Raiders and Michigan State Spartans.
The Blue Devils came out swinging in the grand finals, winning game 1 of the best of 7 series. But it was all Carthage Firebirds after game 1, putting unrelenting offensive pressure on Stout through the following games. Carthage was able to win 4 games in a row to take the first ever Red Cedar Rumble Championship, 4-1.
