MENOMONIE (October 11, 2025) — The UW-Stout football team delivered a statement victory Saturday afternoon, rallying from a 16-point deficit to knock off 11th-ranked UW-Oshkosh, 27-16, at Don and Nona Williams Stadium.
Stout (4-1, 2-0 WIAC) trailed 16-0 midway through the third quarter before exploding for 27 unanswered points to take control of the game.
Quarterback
Adam Moen led the comeback with a dominant second half, throwing for 315 yards and three touchdowns while adding a one-yard rushing score.
Davonte Evans made six receptions for 141 yards and two touchdowns, including a 60-yard strike that sparked Stout's rally.
Avron Carter added six catches for 95 yards and a 58-yard touchdown that sealed the win early in the fourth quarter.

Adam Moen connected with Evans for a 60-yard touchdown. Stout forced another punt. Moen found Evans for a 42-yard strike to get inside the 10. On the next play the duo connected on a 7-yard pass to cut the lead to 16-13. Stout took its first lead early in the fourth when Moen capped an 83-yard drive with a one-yard keeper to make it 20-16. Carter's 58-yard touchdown catch minutes later stretched the advantage to 27-16, and the Blue Devil defense slammed the door shut from there.
Defensively,
Blaine Seidl spearheaded a relentless Blue Devil pass rush, racking up 13 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks. Stout's defense tallied six total sacks, forced one interception by
Brooks Brewer, and held the Titans scoreless over the final 25 minutes of play.
The Blue Devils' defense limited Oshkosh (3-2, 1-1 WIAC) to just 49 rushing yards, recording 12 tackles for loss and six sacks, while breaking up nine passes. The offense totaled 383 yards and only possed the ball 11:40 in the second half due to the quick scoring drives.
The Blue Devils will travel to Whitewater, Wis. to face the Warhawks on Friday, Oct. 17 for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
