Men's Hoops Drops Road Contest to UW-Eau Claire

A quick start and 14 points from Jacob Walczak were not enough for the Blue Devils, as UW-Eau Claire (11-6, 3-3) defeated UW-Stout (7-10, 3-3) by a score of 81-53.
 
The Blue Devils opened the game on a 9-2 run, four minutes into the 1^st half. The lead would quickly evaporate, as the seven-point Blue Devil lead turned into a two-point Blue Devil lead with 11:51 remaining in the half. This would be the last lead of the game for UW-Stout, as UW-Eau Claire overtook the Blue Devils at the 11:34 mark of the first half, and never looked back.
 
Jacon Walczak led the way for the Blue Devils with 14 points and Collin Vick nearly recorded a double-double, coming up one point short. The Blue Devil offense was plagued with turnovers, losing the ball more than twice as often as the Bluegolds, 22 turnovers to 10. This was the key stat in the game, as the Bluegolds scored 24 points off Stout turnovers, and the Blue Devils only scored 6 points off Eau Claire giveaways.
