The Basics

Record:
 Blue Devils (12-3, 3-1), Eagles (9-6, 1-3)
Location: Mitchell Hall Gymnasium- Lacrosse, Wis.

The #23 Blue Devils traveled to Lacrosse and brought home a hard-earned 77-69 conference win. After a layup by Raegan Sorensen in just the first minute of the game, the Blue Devils would not look back, maintain a lead for the entirety of the game, and ultimately come away with the eight-point victory.

Though the Blue Devils led the entire way, the game was not without it's runs, and the Eagles were able to keep the game tight most of the way. With five minutes left in the first half, the Blue Devils achieved their biggest lead of the contest, as Mary Berg drained a jump shot to give Stout a 34-20 lead. The Eagles were able to chip away at the lead for the last few minutes, resulting in a 37-28 Stout lead at the halftime intermission.

Lacrosse came out hot in the second half and was able to cut Stout's lead down to 44-42 with six minutes left in the third quarter. The Blue Devils responded with a 15-5 run, as the Stout lead ballooned to 59-47 with a minute left in the third quarter. Again, Lacrosse was able to slash the Blue Devil lead down to two points with six minutes remaining in the game, but that was all the closer the game would get, as the Blue Devils were able to fend off the Eagles, and UW-Stout would walk out of Mitchell Hall Gymnasium with a 77-69 win.
