The Blue Devils dropped their first conference game of the season to the 13
th ranked Eagles of La Crosse Wednesday night. Stout trailed by as much as 15 as UWL led throughout to escape the late Blue Devil comeback. Trailing by nine at the half, Stout quickly pulled within three thanks to four quick points from
AJ Uttech. A
Jacob Walczak triple with 12:19 left to play got Stout within a point. That was as close as Stout would get as the Eagles quickly built the lead back up to eight. Stout rallied to come within four with 2:26 left in regulation, but UWL had an answer for every Blue Devil run and escaped with the 84-77 win.
