MENOMONIE – The UW-Stout women's soccer team fell 2-0 to Augsburg Wednesday night at Nelson Field.
Augsburg started quick, attempting 11 shots in the first half. The Auggies scored on their third attempt in the 13
th minute putting a shot high of the far post for the early 1-0 lead.
Kristen Silenzi made three big stops in the second half to keep the Blue Devils down one, but Augsburg doubled the lead in the 75th minute on a corner kick. In all, Silenzi faced 19 shots with eight on goal making six saves for the Blue Devils.

The Blue Devils will open WIAC play next Wednesday, Oct. 2, when the travel to River Falls, Wis. to face the Falcons. The match is set to start at 3 p.m. at Ramer Field.
