Menomonie, Wis. – In a defensive battle, one goal was enough for the Rams of North Central (Minn.) to steal one from the Blue Devils.
In a game that featured a lot of whistles, physical play on both ends, and five yellow cards, it was a goal in the 53
rd minute from North Central's Diego Zavala Varela that made the difference.
Max Kutz was in goal for the Blue Devils and totaled three saves in the game.
Roberto Perez,
Alex Thayer, and
Lex Lee all recorded a shot on goal in the contest, but were not able to get one by the Ram's goalkeeper.
The Blue Devils fall to 1-5 on the young season and the Rams improve to 2-2. UW-Stout Men's Soccer will be back in action Sunday, September 15
th as they travel to Morris, to take on the Cougars at 2 p.m.
