LISLE, Ill. - The Blue Devils opened the 2024 season with a pair of wins at the Eagle Classic.
The Basics Game 1
Score: UW-Stout 3 – Benedictine 0 (26-24, 25-23, 25-22)

The Blue Devils swept Benedictine to open the 2024 season with three straight close hard fought wins. The first set saw ten ties and six lead changes. Down 24-23 Stout rallied off three straight to take the first set. Trailing 10-5 and 13-8 in the second, Stout rallied and kills by
Brooke McCune secured the win to give Stout a 2-0 lead. After leading for most of the third, Benedictine rallied to tie the match at 15. Stout then scored the next five points to propel them to a 25-22 win and the sweep.

Stout topped MSOE in four to win both matches of the Eagle Classic. Trailing 11-4 in the first, Stout rallied off 10 straight points to take a 14-11 and then closed on a 11-3 run to take the first set. Stout took an early five-point lead and held that for the duration of the set to go on to win 25-21. MSOE rebounded in the third closing on a 19-7 run to force a fourth set.
