MENOMONIE – The Blue Devils rolled to a 15-1 five inning win over Crown College Wednesday afternoon at Alumni Field.
UW-Stout (21-12) had 13 hits in the win. The Blue Devils batted around in the first inning and scored seven runs to quickly take control of the game.
Ashley Jacobson led off the inning getting hit by a pitch, and
Alyssa Albrecht drew a walk.
Payton Dolecki singled down the let field line to drive in Jacobson for the game's first run. Both runners then advanced on a wild pitch and
Donna D'Addabbo then doubled to left center two score both Albrecht and Dolecki to give Stout a 3-0 lead. After a groundout that advanced D'Addaboo to third,
Elly Holden singled to drive in D'Addaboo and then advanced to second on the throw. She came around to score on
Sammy Noreen's RBI single to center.
Rayni Bresnahan kept the hit parade going with a double to right.
Katelyn Belleau's RBI groundout scored Noreen and Bresnahan then scored on a wild pitch and Stout led 7-0 on five hits in the inning.
Stout added two more in the second. Albrecht and Dolecki led off with back-to-back singles and advanced into scoring position on a wild pitch.
Stephanie Kuhn drove both in with a single to left center to give Stout a 9-0 lead.
Leading 9-1 heading into the bottom of the fourth. Dolecki reached base for the third time on an error by the left fielder allowing her to reach second.
Taylor Haessly singled up the middle to score
Emma Muehlenbeck who pinch ran for Dolecki.
Elly Holden picked up her second hit of the game with a single down the right field line to score Haessley and Stout led 11-1.
Sammy Noreen singled to center and advanced to third on an error by the center field that allowed Holden to score. Bresnahan hit her second double of the game with an Rbi know down the right field line. Freshman
Adeline Lund pinch hit and in her first career plate appearance crushed the ball over the left field fence for a two-run homer to put an exclamation point on the win.
Dolecki, Noreen Holden and Bresnahan each had two hits.
Samantha Bergeron pitched four innings, striking out five and allowing two hits and one unearned run to pickup the win.

The Blue Devils will head to Oshkosh, Wis. on Saturday, April 27 for a double header with the 19
th ranked Titans. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. Currently both teams are tied for first in the WIAC.
