LA CROSSE – The Blue Devils fell to 9-15, 4-12 after dropping a pair of eight inning games to No. 10 UW- La Crosse Thursday afternoon at Copeland park.
GAME ONE
The Eagles totaled 17 hits in a 12-1 eight inning win over Stout in game one. The Blue Devils had nine hits and struck out 17 times in the loss. UWL got on the board in the second, added a pair in the fourth and scored three in the sixth to lead 7-0. Stout loaded the bases in the fifth and seventh innings but were unable to push a run across. The Eagles scored five in the eighth to take a 12-0 lead.
Jack Redwine hit a pitch hit single to left to drive in the Blue Devils only run in the eighth.
GAME TWO
Stout took an early 2-0 lead, but La Crosse scored 15 runs on 19 hits in the last four innings to win 15-3.

Jack Schirpke to give the Blue Devils a 1-0 lead.
Riley Boushack drove in
Jack Redwine with a single to right in the fourth and Stout led 2-0. But La Crosse scored two in the fifth and four in the sixth to take a 6-2 lead.
Parker Hagebock brought Stout within three at 6-3 when
AJ Kargel scored on his single to right in the bottom of the sixth. But that's as close as Stout would get as a seven run eighth sealed the win for the Eagles. Treyson Witt pitched 5.0 innings allowing six hits and two runs and striking out two for the Blue Devils.
UP NEXT
The Blue Devils will host UW-Eau Claire in a four-game series this weekend at Nelson Field. First pitch is set for 12 p.m. both Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21.
