STEVENS POINT – The UW-Stout women's lacrosse team fell 13-6 at UW-Stevens Point Wednesday night.
The Blue Devils fell behind in the first minute but responded by scoring the next two goals to take a 2-1 lead. Abigail Today scored her second of the season and
Maddy Nuttall scored her first collegiate goal to give Stout the lead midway through the first. But UWSP scored a minute later to tie the game and then added a pair in the final 1:45 to take a 4-2 lead after the first quarter. Stout's offense couldn't get much going in the second quarter as the Pointers held them scoreless to take an 8-2 lead at the half.
Stout opened the third quarter by scoring the first three goals to get within three at 8-5.
Ally Crymble notched her 18
th of the season 2:05 into the quarter.
Emma Mathews tallied her team leading 29
th ninety seconds later and
Mai Nou Vang netter her 18
th to pull Stout within three. However, that was as close as the Blue Devils would get, UWSP scored the next two to take a 10-5 lead. Vang scored score her 19
th goal of the season with 25 seconds to play in the third to trail 10-6 heading into the fourth. The Blue Devils were once again held scoreless in the final frame and fell 13-6.

The Blue Devils will return home to host UW-Eau Claire on Saturday, April 20. The game is set to start at 1 p.m. at Nelson Field.
