VERONA, Wis. - The UW-Stout women's lacrosse team dropped a road contest 14-2 to Edgewood College Saturday afternoon.
Edgewood started fast and the Blue Devil offense struggled to sustain pressure in the loss. Edgewood won the first three draws and scored to take an early 3-0 lead. Stout settled down defensively and six minutes later
Loryn Tornell got the Blue Devils on the board with her sixth goal of the year,
Lilly Thomas assisted on the goal. Edgewood led 4-1 after the first quarter. Edgewood scored the first four goals of the second quarter before
Luci Fitzgerald picked up a ground ball and raced in to score her second goal of the season. Stout held Edgewood to just five goals in the second half, but couldn't find the back of the net and fell 14-2. The Blue Devils were outshot 32-7 and committed 31 turnovers.Â
Katt Squire made 11 saves for the Blue Devils.Â

The Blue Devils will return home for a pair of games next week at Nelson Field. Stout will host Concordia University (Wis.) on Tuesday, March 26 at 5 p.m. and Hamline University on Thursday, March 28 at 7 p.m.
