Clermont, Fla. - The UW-Stout softball team split a pair of games on their third day in the Spring Games in Florida. The Blue Devils fell 6-3 to Wilmington College and topped Rutgers-Newark 4-3
GAME 1
The Blue Devils fell 6-3 to Wilmington College. A five-run second inning lifted the Quakers to the win. Stout recorded their first hit in the sixth inning and loaded the bases but couldn't push a run across. In the top of the seventh, 
Katelyn Belleau led off with a double off the left field fence. Ashlye Jacobson worked a walk. Belleau scored on an error and 
Payton Dolecki tripled to right to drive in a pair to make the make 6-3. 
Anna Blanford allowed two hits, and struck out four in 4.2 innings of relief. 
GAME 2
Stout scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth to rally to a 4-3 win over Rutgers-Newark. Newark scored two in the top of the first. The Blue Devils responded with a pair in the bottom of the inning. 
Stephanie Kuhn drove in a run with an RBI groundout and 
Elly Holden singled to drive in Dolecki. Rutgers retook the lead in the top of the second with an RBI double. the game stayed at 3-2 until the bottom of the sixth. Dolecki led off and reached on an error and then stole second. Holden then singled to center, an error allowed Dolecki to score and Holden advanced to third, the throw from the first-baseman was high at thrid and Holden scampered home to score the winning run. 
Mackensie Wolterstorff then retired the side in order to seal the win. Wolterstorff and 
Samantha Bergeron combined to strike out nine, Holden finished 2-3 with two RBI and a run scored.

The Blue Devils will play two more games tomorrow, Thursday, March 14. Stout will face Hood College at 9:15 ET and Marywood University at 1:30 p.m.ET
