CLERMONT, Fla. - The UW-Stout Blue Devil softball team opened their spring break tournament with a pair of wins over St. Norbert.
GAME 1
The Blue Devils batted around in the first inning to grab an early 3-0 lead. Peyton Dolecki doubled to right to drive in
Alyssa Albrecht who reached on a hit by pitch.
Donna D'Addabbo then tripled to right field and
Stephanie Kuhn followed with a single through the right side and Stout lead 3-0 after one. Stout added a fourth run in the seconds on a sac fly to right by Kuhn. Abbey Dusterhof hit a sac fly in the top of the fourth to extend the Stout lead to 5-0. St. Norbert worked four walks and got their first hit of the game in the bottom of the fourth and scored five runs to tie the game. In the top of the seventh, Mackensie Wolterstorf hit a bunt single and Kaitlyn Belleau advanced to second. Both runners moved up on a wild pitch.
Elly Holden came in to pinch hit and drilled a double down the left field line to drive in the go ahead runs. Dolecki hit a single to left center to dive in the final run. Wolterstorf then set the bottom of the inning down in order to pick up the win.
D'Addabbo was 3-5 with an RBi, Dolecki was 3-4 with 2 RBI. Wolterstorf pitched 3.2 in relief with six strikeouts.
GAME 2
St. Norbert scored three runs in the first to a take an early 3-0 lead. Stout responded in the bottom of the second inning when
Alexa Anderson hit a two-run single to pull within one. Anderson drove in the tying run in the fourth when she reached on a fielders choice. D'Addabbo singled to shallow left to drive in the go ahead run in the bottom of the sixth and Kuhn followed with a two RBI double to center field.
Kuhn was 2-4 with two RBI and D'Addabbo was 2-3 with an RBI and walk.

The Blue Devils will play Lake Forest tomorrow, March 11 at 9 a.m. and will play Augsburg at 1:45 p.m. both times are eastern time.
