Stout built a 12-point lead early in the fourth and held off a late River Falls rally to win their fifth straight game 71-66 Wednesday night.  A back and fourth first quarter saw UWRF lead 19-18 after 10 minutes of play.
Lauren Arenz hit a triple midway through the second to give the Blue Devils the lead and Stout took a 36-33 lead into the half. Stout maintained the lead through out the third and
Sam Schaeffer trey with 24 seconds left gave Stout a six-point lead heading into the fourth. Stout opened on a the final quarter on a 6-0 run and Stout lead by 12 with 8:09 left on the clock. UWRF started to chip away and got within two with 3:37 lef tin regulation. Stout responded with back to back triples from
Lexi Wagner and
Anna Mutch to give Stout a 66-59 lead with 2:42 remaining. UWRF again got within two points but a
Raegan Sorensen turnaround jumper in the paint gave Stout a four point advantage with 17 seconds left to play then stole the ball on the Falcons next possession to seal the win.Â
