Blue Devils Drop Close Game at Eau Claire

The Blue Devils fell in a back and forth affair Saturday night. Brody Fox scored 28 points and Aidan Shore recorded a double-double but Stout couldn't connect down the stretch. The game saw 10 lead changes  and three ties. UWEC led 36-32 at the half. Stout trailed by six for most of the second half before taking a 3-point lead with seven minutes left to play. UWEC hit back-to-back triples to take their own three point lead with six minutes to play, Stout regained the lead 67-66 with 5:12 left in regulation, but UWEC took a four point lead and the Blue Devils got within one in the final minutes but couldn't find the go ahead bucket. 

Top Performers

• Brody Fox was 11-23 from the field to lead the Blue Devils with 28 points. He pulled down eight rebounds a, four steals and two assists.
• Aidan Shore was 10-19 for 20 points, and pulled down 11 rebounds for a double-double. He also had three assists and a block.
• Jacob Walczak scored 11 points.

• Stout shot 48.4 percent (31-64) from the field. Eau Claire was 31-67 (46.3 percent).
• Stout was 4-11 from 3-point range.
• Both teams pounded the rock inside. Stout edged UWEC 44-42 with points in the paint.
