Amanda Giesen scored 15 in her return to the starting lineup for the Blue Devils, but it was not enough to overcome the aggressive defense of the Cobbers, as the Blue Devils fell to fellow 2024 NCAA tourney participant Concordia-Moorhead. Concordia ran into halftime with a healthy 10-point lead that quickly grew to 22 by the end of the third quarter. Stout would mount a small fourth quarter comeback, outscoring the Cobbers by eleven in the 4
th, leading to a final score of 86-75.
Concordia ran 40 minutes of full-court press basketball, and it gave the Blue Devil offense headaches all game, resulting in 21 giveaways for Stout. On the other side of the ball, it was the high-low combo of Carlee Sieben and Makayala Anderson combining for 50 of Concordia's 86 points. The Blue Devils spread the ball around offensively, resulting in four players ending the game scoring in double figures-
Amanda Giesen,
Sam Schaeffer,
Allison Letcher, and
Mary Berg. Â Â Â
