MENOMONIE – The UW-Stout women's soccer team fell 1-0 to UW-Stevens Point Saturday afternoon at Nelson Field.
The Blue Devils (0-7-2, 0-2-0) fell 1-0 to the Pointers (4-4-4, 1-0-0), Stevens Points scored the lone goal on a penalty kick in the 57
th minute.
The Pointers out shot the Blue Devils 23-6 and the shots on target were 9-2.
Kristen Silenzi made eight saves in the loss.
Stout had a couple of opportunities late in the game, but couldn't find the equalizer. Stout best look came with under five minutes to play when their shot knicked off the bar and deflected away.

The Blue Devils will travel to Winona, Minn. on Wednesday, Oct. 9 to face Saint Mary's University. The match is set for 7 p.m. at Ochrymowycz Field.
