Box Score 2 Blue Devil Women's Tennis traveled to Mankato to play a triangular against UW-Superior and Bethany Lutheran College. UW-Stout split the matches on the day with a 6-1 win over Bethany Lutheran and a 1-6 defeat to the Yellowjackets.

Vs. Bethany Lutheran College
The Blue Devils extended their win streak against BLC to 8 matches with Saturday's 6-1 victory. After falling behind early in all three doubles matches, the Blue Devils were resilient and came from behind to win all three matches, securing the doubles point.
Molly Garber and
Ella Lamppa notched the first win at #1 doubles, followed by the #3 doubles tandem of
Lexie Stein and
Lindsay Leuzinger, and the #2 doubles pairing of
Odessa Barreyro and
Aspen Johnson capped off the doubles sweep.

The Blue Devils rode that momentum into singles action, winning 5 out of 6 singles flights. Of those five wins, 4 of them came in straight sets, with Garber winning 6-2 6-1 at #1,
Ella Lamppa winning convincingly 6-1 6-0 at #3, Barreyro winning 6-1 7-6 at #4, and
Lexie Stein securing a 6-3 7-5 victory at #6. Leuzinger was able to come back from a set down at #5 to rally to a thrilling 3-6 6-3 12-10 win.

Vs. UW-Superior
In the second match of the day, UW-Stout battled a talented UW-Superior team. The Yellowjackets swarmed early, earning the doubles point with wins at all three flights. Singles action also went UW-Superior's way, winning 5/6 singles matches, resulting in a 6-1 win for Superior.

Molly Garber was the lone winner for the Blue Devils. Garber cruised to a 6-0 win in the first set, then the match tightened up, and Molly found herself at 4-4 in the second set. She was able wear her opponent down, and come away with a 6-4 victory in the second set, securing the win at #1 singles.

What's Next:
Blue Devil Women's Tennis will be traveling to Madison October 26
th and 27
th to compete in the WIAC Conference Tournament. The team will compete in individually flighted brackets, accumulating points toward the conference standings.
