Blue Devils Fall to Wheaton in Straight Sets

The Blue Devils fell is straight sets to Wheaton College Saturday morning. The First set saw 10 ties and three lead changes. Tied at 12, Stout scored four straight to take a 16-12 lead. The Thunder rallied to tie the game at 18, after trading points, Wheaton closed on a 3-1 run to take the first 25-23. Wheaton led throughout in the second. The Thunder took an early 8-3 lead and built it to eight at 21-13 and took the set 25-19.  Stout took 7-3 lead early in third. Stout led until the Thunder tied it up at 15 a piece. Again the teams traded points and the set was tied at 22, but the Thunder scored the next three to take the set and the match

• Brooke McCune lead the Blue Devils with 11 kills.
• Sloan Horgan had six kills and Brynn Hessel recorded five.
• Kennedy Barrett  had 26 assists, and eight digs.
• Terrah Moshier and Maja Anderson each had 11 digs.
