Giesen Scores 23, But Blue Devils Fall 87-71 at Platteville

A 10-2 Pioneer run early in the second provided UWP with enough separation to keep the Blue Devils at bay as the Pioneer held a 15-point halftime lead. Platteville would go on to lead by as much as 24 as they cruised to the big win. Platteville shot 58 percent from the field in the first half and 77 percent in the fourth quarter to prevent a Blue Devil rally. 


Top Performers
  • Amanda Giesen led all scorers with 23 points pn 9-16 shooting. She had five rebounds and two steals. 
  • Raegan Sorensen was 7-13 for 15 points, and four rebounds.
  • Anna Mutch scored 14 points and pulled down eight rebounds. 

Inside the Box Score  
  • Stout shot 43.1 percent (28-65) from the field, while Platteville was 30-52 (57.7 percent).
  • Raegan Sorensen now was 1003 career points.
