MENOMONIE - Dawson Green made 18 saves and five Blue Devils had multi-point games as Stout rolled to a 7-0 win over Northland College Saturday Night at Fanetti Community Center.
Stout scored four power play goals to aid in the 7-0 romp over the Lumberjacks and
Dawson Green made 18 saves for his first shutout of the season and second of his career.
Jake McAlpine started the scoring for Stout six minutes into the game. 83 seconds later
Boyd Stahlbaum scored his first of the night and 11th of the year on the power play on a nice feed from
Nicolas Pigeon. The duo teamed up again later in the period again on the man advantage with Stahlbaum lighting the lamp at for his 12th goal of the season. Stout outshot NC 14-2 in the opening frame.
Noe Perez scored in the low slot just 1:41 into the second to give stout a 4-0 lead. Pigeon picked up his third helper of the game, his 18th assists of the season.
Matt Dahlseide scored his fifth of the season 5:38 into the third on a feed from
Peyton Hart. Four minutes late Dahlseide returned the favor, setting up Hart's 11th of the season with a power play tally at 9:42. Two minutes later Stout was on a 5-3 powerplay when
Noah Minns scored his first collegiate goal to give Stout a 7-0 lead at 11:47 of the third
Perez, Hart and Dahlseide each had a goal and an assist.
Brendan Boyce tallied two assists.
With the win, Stout swept the season series against Northland, outscoring the Lumberjacks 20-1 in three games.
Stout was 4-8 on the man advantage and killed off all six Northland power play opportunities.
