MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Augsburg scored early in the first half to get past UW-Stout 1-0 Tuesday night and halt the Blue Devils unbeaten streak.
Stout, who hadn't lost in the past four games, fell 1-0 to Augsburg at Edor Nelson Field Tuesday Night. The Blue Devils pressured early, having several chances in the opening minutes, including a free kick from just outside the 18-yard box, but were unable to convert. A few minutes later Augsburg quickly moved the ball up the field and scored from just inside the six-yard box on a nice cross.
The Blue Devils were unable to find the equalizer and managed six shots with four on target.
Kristen Silenzi made four saves on five shots on goal. The Auggies had 16 shot attempts and six corner kicks in the win.

The Blue Devils will return home and host their first home game of the year on Thursday Sept. 21 against Bethel University. Kickoff from Nelson Field is set for 7 p.m.
