Blue Devil Lacrosse Drops Home Opener to UW- La Crosse

The Blue Devil Lacrosse team fell 22-3 in their home opener Friday afternoon to UW-La Crosse.Loryn Tornell scored early in the first quarter on a free position shot to tie the game  But La Crosse scored the next 17 goals before Elle Grandy converted ona  free position shot just before the third quarter horn sounded. Ally Crymble scored her team leading eighth goal three and half minutes into the fourth quarter. 

TOP PERFORMERS

• Ally Crymble scored, had three draw controls and two ground balls.
• Tessa Bailey made 14 saves. 
• Lauren Schwartz had 18 draw controls, five ground balls, three goals and an assists for the Eagles. 

 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Cornell outshot Stout 51-6
• The Blue Devils had 10 ground balls while UWL had 22
• UWL won 24 of the 28 draws
• Stout had 25 turnovers while forcing 11 from La Crosse
