The Blue Devil Lacrosse team fell 25-14 Wednesday night to Edgewood College. After a slow start, Edgewood scored four goals in five minutes and led 6-1 after the first quarter. Stout scored two goals in 20 seconds to trim the lead to 6-3 but the Eagles then out scored Stout 5-2 over the next 10 minutes to build the lead to 11-5. the Blue Devils then scored three-straight to climb with in three at 11-8 at halftime. Edgewood opened the third with four straight goals to lead 16-8 Stout then went on a 4-0 run to climb within four at 16-12 with just over two minutes left in the third. Edgewood continued the game of runs with three goals in the final minute to lead 19-12 heading into the fourth. The Eagles then out scored Stout 6-2 in the fourth to hold off any Stout comeback and secure the win.Â
