STEVENS POINT - The UW-Stout baseball team dropped a pair of WIAC games to No. 23 UW-Stevens Point Sunday afternoon. Falling 22-0 in the first game and 8-1 in game two.
GAME 1
The Pointers hit eight home runs in a 22-0 rout of the Blue Devils. UWSP scored 22 runs on 18 hits and 12 walks. Leyton Bowers recorded the Blue Devils lone hit. The Blue Devil pitchers combined to throw 199 pitches while UWSP threw just 81 striking out 11.
GAME 2
The Pointers hit two home runs in to win 8-1 in game two. Stout outhit UWSP 6-4 but two of those four hits went over the fence driving in a total of five runs.
Connor Hemme pitched six innings and stuck out seven for the Blue Devils.
Justin Sedin went 2-3 and
Justin Schnell was 2-2 with a walk in the loss.
