LA CROSSE - The UW-Stout softball dropped a pair of games to the UW-La Crosse Eagles by identical 9-0 scores Saturday afternoon at West Salem High School Field.
GAME 1
The Blue Devils gave up four runs in the third and five in the fifth in a 9-0 loss in game one. Stout's only hit came in the second inning after a two-out walk
Katelyn Belleau singled, but the Blue Devils couldn't string a rally together. The Eagles scored four in the third on three hits, a walk and an error. They added five more in the fourth on three hits and five walks.
GAME 2
The UW-La Crosse Eagles no-hit the Blue Devils in six innings 9-0. Stout managed a walk in every inning but only put eight balls in play but couldn't get anything to fall for a hit. UWL scored a run in the first, two in the second and fourth innings and ended the game with four in the bottom of the sixth.
Anna Blanford worked two walks and was the only Blue Devil to reach base twice.
UP NEXT
The Blue Devils will head to Platteville on Sunday, April 23 for a doubleheader with the UW-Platteville Pioneers. The games are set to start at 1 and 3 p.m.
