Blue Devil Lacrosse Falls 16-7 to St. Benedict

The Blue Devil Lacrosse team fell 16-7 Saturday afternoon to the College of St. Benedict. After falling behind 1-0 Halle Weinmann scored on a feed from Loryn Tornell to tie them game at one. CSB then scored four straight to close out the first quarter to lead 5-1 after 15 minutes of play. Stout got within three after goals from Ally Crymble and Weinmann's second of the game. But CSB scored three straight to lead at halftime 9-3. The Bennies scored two in the opening forty seconds of the third to extend the lead to 11-3. Mai Nou Vang answered 19 seconds later thw teams traded goals late in the third as CSB lead 13-6 heading into the fourth quarter. CSB scored three straight before Vang added her scord of the game just before the final horn. 
 
TOP PERFORMERS

• Ally Crymble scored two goals and an assist. She added had three draw controls, three ground balls and three caused turnovers.
• Halle Weinmann scored two goals.
• Nai Nou Vang had three goals,two, ground balls and two caused turnovers. 
• Tessa Bailey made 26 saves and had nine ground balls.
• Emma Osland had five goals for St. Benedict.

 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• CSB outshot Stout 52-28.
• The Blue Devils had a 14-13 edge on draw controls.
• The Blue Devils had 20 ground balls while CSB had 35.
