Five Blue Devils Score in Double Figures in 78-54 Win Over Augsburg

The 24th ranked Blue Devils closed out non-conference play with a 78-54 win over Augsburg Saturday afternoon. Raegan Sorensen recorded an 17-point, 11 rebound double-double as five Blue Devils scored in double figures in the big win. Stout led throughout, holding the Auggies to just eight points in the first quarter, taking a 10-point lead after 10 minutes. The defense was just as stout in the second quarter, holding Augsburg to just 1-12 shooting. Despite turning the ball over seven times, Stout led by 24 points at the half. Stout lead by as much as 29 points in the second half, as they would roll to their eighth straight win. 

Top Performers

• Raegan Sorensen recorded a 17-point, 11-rebound double-double. She added three steals and two assists.
• Amanda Giesen led all scorers with 18 points on 7-11 shooting. She grabbed five rebounds.
• Anna Mutch scored 11 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals. 
• Transfer Lexi Wagner made an immediate impact scoring 11 points, four rebounds, three steals a block and an assist.
• Sydney Brennan scored 11 points and three rebounds.

• Stout shot 42.6 percent (29-68) from the field and held Augsburg to 36 percent (18-50).
• The teams combined for 44 turnovers.
• Stout was 4-21 from 3-point range in the first three quarters, and was 4-7 in the fourth quarter.
