Fox Records Double-Double, Blue Devils Fall 76-64 to Nebraska Wesleyan

The Basics

Brody Fox recorded his second straight double-double, scoring 28 points and pulling down 10 rebounds, but the Blue Devils fell to Nebraska Wesleyan 76-64 to wrap up non-conference play. NWU started on an 11-0 run before Jacob Walczak connected on a triple to put the Blue Devils on the board. But NWU extended the lead to 16 just past the halfway mark of the half. NWU led my as much as 18 with 2:25 to play, but Fox scored the last 13 points of the half for Stout to cut the NWU lead to 39-30 at the intermission. NWU would carry a double-digit lead for a majority of the second half, Stout was able to cut the lead to nine a couple of times late but were unable to get any closer and NWU held on for the win. 

Top Performers
  • Brody Fox recorded his fourth career double-double with 28 points and 10 rebounds. He was 11-19 from the field and added three dimes. 
  • Caden Hoffman scored 12 points and three assists. 
  • George Scharlau had nine rebounds, seven points and four rebounds.

  • Stout shot 37.5 percent from the floor (24-64) NWU shot 44.1 percent (30-68).
  • NWU outscored Stout 44-26 in the paint. 
  • Stout had 20 offensive rebounds, but only scored 11 second-chance points.
