Fox and Scharlau Record Double-Doubles as Stout Storms Past Babson 81-67

Double-doubles from Brody Fox and George Scharlau led the Blue Devils to a big 81-67 win over Babson to open the BSN Winter Classic. Friday evening. Stout was down early in the first, but a 10-3 run over a four minute span gave Stout the lead for good. Stout would led at the break 37-32. The Blue Devils would open up the game early in the second half. Stout would go on a 16-point scoring run from 18:18-13:56. Jacob Walczak scored nine of his 11 points during that stretch, and the Blue Devils never looked back, going on to lead by as much as 26 at the 12:26 mark of the half and holding on for the comfortable win after the long break between games.  

Top Performers

• Brody Fox recorded his third career double-double with 25 points and 15 rebounds. He was 7-18 from the field and 11-15 from the line and added four dimes. 
• George Scharlau recorded his third career-double-double with13 points, 12 boards. He was 4-8 from 3-point range and added two steals and two blocks. 
• Jacob Walczak scored 11 points and pulled down five rebounds.
• Nate Amado led the Beavers with 19 points.

• Stout shot 42.9 percent from the floor (27-63) Babson shot 38 percent (27-71).
• Fox's 15 rebounds were the most by a Blue Devil since John Keefe grabbed 15 boards on Jan. 3, 2017. Fox was also first player to record a 20 point-15 rebound double-double since that same game when Keefe scored 24 points and 15 rebounds. 
• Stout's bench outscored the Beaver bench 26-20.
• Stout had 15 turnovers and Babson scored 14 points off of turnovers 
• Stout outrebounded Basbson 57-33
• Babson as a team was 6-15 from the free-throw line, Brody Fox was 11-15 from the charity stripe.
