Fox, Shore Combine for 71 in 113-111 Double Overtime Loss at Augsburg

The Blue Devils had three players combine for 94 points in a 113-111 double overtime loss to Augsburg Saturday afternoon. Stout led for most of the first half before Augsburg rallied from down nine with 12 to play to take a 46-43 lead at the half thanks to a buzzer beating 3-pointer. The teams would trade baskets in the second half before the Auggies pushed their advantage to nine with nine to play in regulation. Stout quickly erased the deficit and took a one point lead with 7:38 to play. Again the teams traded baskets before Brody Fox tied the game at 83 with two free throws with 17 seconds left. Stout held a 3-point edge early in the first overtime but a 9-0 run by the Auggies put them up by six with 80 seconds to play. Aidan Shore got an offensive rebound put back with three seconds left in overtime to send the games to a second frame. Stout again took an early three-point lead only to see the Auggies score seven straight to take a four point lead. The teams would battle down the stretch but Stout would come just short.

• Brody Fox led all scorers with 38 points. He was 16-31 with five rebounds. 
• Aidan Shore tied a career-high with 33 points. He was 15-28 and pulled down 11 rebounds for his first double-double of the season. He also had four blocks.
• George Scharlau scored a season-high 23 points and had eight rebounds an two assists. 
• Will Blascziek led Augsburg with 31 points.
