The Blue Devils battled the Scots, but Macalester pulled away late to secure the win.
Brody Fox scored a season-high 36 points in the loss. Stout jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead, but the Scots responded on a 17-2 run to take a 17-6 lead with 14 minutes left in the first half. Fox scored four straight points as Stout battled back to take a 34-32 lead with six and a half minutes to go until halftime. The lead was short lived as Macalester responded by taking an eight point lead with 100 seconds to play and went into the half leading 51-45. Stout opened the second half on a run and took the lead back at 61-60. The teams traded the baskets before
George Scharlau hit a triple to give Stout a 68-65 lead.
Nick Jungel extended the lead to six with an and-one layup with 9:22 left in regulation. With just over six minutes to play, the Scots retook the lead and never looked back, quickly taking an 8-point lead. They pushed the lead to double-digits with just over two minutes to play and hit free throws down the stretch to hold on to the win.Â

- Brody Fox led all scorers with 36 points on 14-26 shooting. He added seven rebounds.Â
- George Scharlau scored a season high 18 points, was 4-8 from 3-point range. He pulled down six rebounds.Â

- Caleb Williams led Macalester with 34 points on 11-21 shooting with seven assists.Â
