ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Blue Devils won there final non-conference game of year with a four set victory over Macalester College Tuesday night.

The the first set was evenly played with both teams going on runs but not being able to put the other team away. Tied a three, Macalester quickly jumped out to a 7-3 lead, Stout responded and just as fast tied the set at seven. The Scots went on a 6-0 run to take a 16-12 lead, only to see Stout score the next five points to reclaim the advantage 17-16 Three kills from
Brynn Hessel helped seal the set for Stout, despite the Blue Devils committing 10 attacking errors. Stout dominated early in the second set, quickly taking an 11-3 lead. Stout looked to be in control with a 19-9 advantage, but the Scots tried to rally but the Blue Devils had a big enough lead to win 25-18. Macalester used the momentum to jump out to a 10-2 lead in the third set, as they easlity dispatched the Blue Devils 25-13 to force a fourth set. The fourth was tightly contested with neither team being able to secure more than a one point lead. Tied at 12, Stout went on a 7-3 run to build a 19-15 lead. The advantage was all that Stout need as they went to win 25-19 as a
Kailey Kline ace on the final serve proved to be match point.
