Blue Devils Battle till the Final Buzzer

OSHKOSH (January 21, 2023) - The Blue Devils had yet another difficult task taking on the Titans on Saturday afternoon, coming off two games against Top 25 opponents. Both Stout and Oshkosh were both receiving 5 votes from d3Hoops coming into the game, but it was Oshkosh that held the lead in the end, taking down Stout 75-73.

Stout trailed almost the whole game, but kept right on the heals of the red-hot Titans. The Titans went 6 for 10 from down town in the first half. During the second quarter, the Titans went on a 10-0 run to extend their lead to 7, the biggest of the night. Stout answered back with their own 11-0 run, and kept kept the lead small, entering the break down 32-30. Oshkosh outscored the Blue Devils 20-19 in the third quarter, increasing the lead to 52-49, but it came down to the wire in the fourth, with Oshkosh squeaking by with the 75-73 win.

Top Performers 
  • Four Blue Devils hit double digits, with Anna Mutch leading the way at 17. Amanda Giesen (15), Haylee Yaeger (10), and Raegan Sorensen (10) added in points.
  • Sorensen also recorded her fifth double-double of the season with 11 rebounds.
  • Kate Huml led the Titans with 23 points. Bridget Forehlke added 15 and Sarah Hardwick 11.
Inside the Box Score  
  • With Allison Letcher's three-point basket late in the game to close the Oshkosh led to one (71-70), all Blue Devils that saw the court made it into the scoring column
  • Stout was +12 in the rebound category (34-22) but -6 in the turnover line (12-18).
  • After going 6 for 10 in the first half, Oshkosh finished off the game 8 for 21 from behind the arc. From the floor they shot 25 for 58 and 17 for 19 from the free throw line.
